CraniumCAMPS
.....raising grades, critical thinking, confidence and motivation. CraniumCAMPS.....FUN cleverly incorporated into learning & play adventures.
CraniumCAMPS.....the latest animated, interactive learning programs integrated into state-of-the-art, multi-sensory learning-technology.
CraniumCAMPS.....13000 sq.ft. of indoor and outdoor space set up in "Fun-Zones".
CraniumCAMPS.....Custom reading and math prescriptions for EACH CHILD!
CraniumCAMPS.....kids, playing with their mind!

CraniumCAMPS are.....extreme learning, extreme fun and extremely cool. Before CraniumCAMPS came along, parents had to choose between fun camps OR learning camps. Not anymore! Cranium Clubhouse has over 12000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor recreational space that is set up in fun-zones. From an indoor gymnastics zone, to a discovery zone, to an art zone, to an inflatable zone and even to a themed treehouse-rope bridge-camping zone. The center enables kids to outsmart the Florida heat and
humidity, when needed, but also experience an outdoor fun zone when desired. The camps have exciting themes and allow kids to enter virtual learning experiences such as Going Camping, Exploring the World, Owning A Restaurant, Dinosaur Adventures, Interesting Animals, or All About Sports. CraniumCAMPS let the kids experience all of the above while parents can choose from different camps that all buildup a child’s critical thinking, problem solving, communication, reading, math and art skills. The kids are assessed in their reading and math skills prior to their first camp. State-of-the-art high-tech learning stations allow the assessment results to be supplied into various learning and play zones that produce custom experiences for each child. Kids are experiencing learning adventures and having so much fun while building critical reading and math skills that are customized to their individual skill sets and needs. The art portion of the camps utilize the CraniumART program and is usually one of the most exciting highlights of the day.

Junior Paleontologists
(June 14th - June 18th)

Your young scientist will become a Cranium Paleontologist, discovering prehistoric times and exploring the world of dinosaurs! We will study some of your child’s favorite dinosaurs through reading, math, art, and virtual journeys back in time. Campers will enjoy learning about carnivores, herbivores, omnivores, and prehistoric history. They will even research the sizes of dinosaurs in relation to their own height. The young researchers will eagerly discover cool aspects about dinosaurs, while making various charts, graphs and scientific theories. Campers will have a dinomite time creating their own fossils to take home and practicing their dino digging skills at the Cranium Excavation site!

Lights Camera Action

(June 21st - June 25th)
This week your camper will become the puppeteer, prop designer, and character voices at the Cranium Puppet Theater. Cranium Kids will use literature, art, math, and critical thinking skills to choose the story, design backdrops, create puppets, and perform the puppet show, while also calculating the ticket cost and audience capacity. They will learn about different forms of drama and puppetry throughout history as they discover how lighting, sound effects, costumes, and backdrops can change the meaning of a performance. The grand finale will be a fun puppet show, performed by the campers and video-taped, for the parents to enjoy!

Adventure to the Moon and Back
(June 28th - July 2nd)

Cranium kids will train to be astronauts as they prepare to travel to the moon. Campers will embark on their training mission; learn about life in space, why people would want to travel to the moon, gravity, and how people could live on the moon. They will encounter all of this, and more, using reading, math, art, physical training and virtual journeys into Outer Space. Each child will have the opportunity to experience weightlessness, investigate the phases of the moon, hunt asteroids, create a moon command post, compare the distance they can jump on the moon versus earth, and more!

Science Discovery: It's All Around Us
(July 5th - July 9th)

Who needs to understand science? Everyone! From chefs to astronauts, candy makers to artists, sailors to moms and dads, science is all around us! Your child will discover how different people use scientific observation and analysis to do their jobs. Campers will become scientists, creating hypotheses, and performing experiments. They will pretend to be chefs mixing new flavors to create fun snacks, astronauts who want to know more about space travel and gravity, candy makers experimenting to form candy crystals, artists mixing colors to find the perfect hue, and the captain of a ship who needs to know how much cargo a ship can carry!

All About the Games
(
July 12th - July 16th)

What does it take to get to the Olympic Games? Where have the Olympic Games been held? Where will they be held? Cranium Kids will spend the week discovering the answers to these questions, as they prepare for fun and friendly competition in the Cranium Games. Each child will earn their place on a team by reading about different Olympic sports, traveling to places where the Olympics have been held, and discussing Olympic art (architecture, photography, etc.). Campers will have fun learning about the fastest Olympic athletes in history. The kids will also be able to work to improve their physical agility while completing obstacle courses, sports challenges, and more. Each child will create a scrapbook of their travels to help them remember their Olympic adventure!

Art Explosion (DaVinci's Apprentice)
(July 19th - July 23rd
Campers will become DaVinci’s apprentice, as they embark on a journey through art history. Each child will use reading, math, and virtual adventures to explore how color choices effect art interpretation, an artist’s influence, and even discover where artists learn. Cranium Kids will read about their chosen artist and write a letter to them describing what they found inspiring about their work. Campers will then use the influence of their chosen artist to create an original work of art using the appropriate medium and techniques. Cranium Kids will also design and construct sketch books to collect their ideas, thoughts, and drawings throughout the week!

Back to Nature
(July 26th - July 30th)
Pack your gear because we’re going on a camping trip! Campers will travel to different National Parks throughout the country and discover the wildlife, rocks and land formations that make each park unique. They will explore different habitats, along with the animals and plants that try to adapt and live there. Each child will create a travel journal that contains maps of the regions, graphs and charts comparing the different habitats, and a list of animals that can be found in each environment. The campers will have the opportunity to create their favorite habitat while also building a model of a volcano and geyser. Throughout the week, the campers will produce a video presentation on National Parks and prepare a special snack that they can take with them on their camping trip back to nature!

Own Your Own Restaurant
(August 2nd - August 6th)

What does it take to start your own business? Your child will learn what skills, knowledge, and preparation it takes to open their very own restaurant! Campers will become entrepreneurs and use reading and math skills to create their own business model. They will conduct market surveys to help choose what types of foods to serve, decide who should be hired, determine what needs to be bought, choose a name for their restaurant, and create an exciting advertising campaign. They will have the opportunity to design and illustrate their own menu including descriptions and prices. Cranium Campers will invent a promotional character to represent their restaurant, create a bill, make change, prepare a recipe for the grand opening of their restaurant, and more!

Road Trip
(August 9th - August 13th)

No need to pack up the car this summer! Your child will plan a trip from Florida to Alaska, and then embark on a virtual tour of our great country. Through reading, math, art, and physical activity, each child will explore the United States while discovering famous landmarks and the impact they had on the journey’s of our earliest explorers. Campers discover how geography and landscapes differ from state to state, record the number of miles we will be traveling, and track the budget for our trip. Cranium Kids will enjoy creating art that represents the regions and landmarks they learn about. Next, they become junior writers as they make travel guides full of fun facts and points of interest for future travelers. No road trip would be complete without trying foods and taking part in customs from the different regions that the campers will explore!

Flying High
(August 16th - August 20th)

Cranium Kids take a journey into the world of flight as they learn about planes, helicopters, and space craft. The campers will first discover the physics of gravity and how aerodynamics effect getting objects into the air. Next, the campers will build their own scale model versions of helicopters and planes that they will have the chance to fly around Cranium Clubhouse. Through reading, math, trial and error, the campers will learn about, and apply, the forces of nature that affect their ability to journey with wings. The campers will create a sketch book journal as they make their way through the history of air travel. As modern flight moved towards space, the campers will learn what challenges needed to be overcome to launch objects outside the earth’s atmosphere. They’ll discuss how space flight is different then just flying on an airplane, and more, on this high flying adventure!
